On-Demand Seismic Processing with AWSThe focus is on using AWS’ serverless tools to perform on-demand seismic processing, keeping cost optimization in mind. In the notebook, I walk through streaming seismic SEGY data from S3 storage, reading the headers with custom Python code, and then provisioning Lambda functions to process the data in parallel. I do a simple “mean trace amplitude” calculation, but there is no reason the code cannot point to a more complex Lambda algorithm or an AWS machine learning service.
